HS Brahma Takes Charge As Chief Election Commissioner

Hari Shankar Brahma on 16 January assumed charge as the 19th Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) after he was elevated to the post on 14 January.He succeeded VS Sampath, whose tenure ended on 15 January 2015.
